How to retire on the cheap in Thailand!

Cut costs early on and you can retire earlier.

Here, are a few ideas as far as saving money is concerned and your ability to retire in Thailand.

The regular family does not earn a lot but can save money by a few simple things such as:

  • Have your wife cut your hair and save a few dollars once a month that way. Save $3,600.00 over 30 years.

  • Send kids to local schools and college - College - save money $14,000.oo per child per year.
    2 kids X 4 years = $112,000.00

  • Pay off the mortgage in half the time and save a lot on interest.

  • Buy cars that are at least 4 years old every time. - Save up to $90,000 for the two cars your family uses in 30 years.

  • Auto insurance is lower because of the age of the cars. Save $60,000.00
You can save well over $265,600.00 with those ideas, and there are more.

Thai Driver's license

It is easy to get if you already have one from another country you can drive with it for up to 3 months. The insurance companies want you to be locally licenced so go get one easily enough with a test and some forms that would cost you 105 Baht for a car licence.

Buy or rent property

Most foreigners would be better off renting at first until they understand that the whole real-estate market in Thailand is very different from the USA or elsewhere, for example. Rent at a seashore view furnished property can be up as high as $1,000 for a month but the minute that you go a little inland the rent drops dramatically.
Until you know all about real-estate in Thailand, don't just run out and buy anything.

Money

The Baht is money in Thailand, and it is about 10.00 USD = 316.51 THB.Retired guy - www.HowCanIRetire.net
This can fluctuate, and you have to check when you want do business.

Healthcare

There are excellent hospitals in Thailand and the costs are remarkably lower than the rest of the world especially in the Americas and Europe.

Laws in Thailand

They are not the same as we are used to in out home country so you should check first before you do anything that can be a problem later such as buying and selling real-estate or business, marriage, adoption, etc.

Here is a Thailand Law Website.

"It's a land of smiles"

Thai people are mostly going to smile and be carefree when you screw up with some of their customs at first - take a little time to get the local groove on so you will fit into the society better.
It's easy.

Housekeeper

You can get a full time housekeeper in Thailand for about $240.00 a month.

The town of Hua Hin

Is just one of the many wonderful places in the country and it has one of the best climates in Thailand. In the town of Hua Hin, the average temperature throughout the year is around 83 degrees F. There are average high temperatures of 88 degrees Fahrenheit with some of the lows down to 77. The town has low rainfall at 37 inches a year. Sounds really good to me!

Check into it if you like, you might be pleasantly surprised.
